Question: Can you replace my windscreen at my home or work?
Answer: Absolutely! In fact, we do most of our customers' windscreen replacements on a mobile basis, as this is more convenient for most customers.
Question: How long will it take to replace my windscreen? Can I drive my car right away when it is done?
Answer: It usually takes about an hour to an hour and a half to replace the windscreen, and about another hour for the adhesive to cure to a point where it is safe to drive your vehicle. In total, you should plan on letting your vehicle stand for two to two and a half hours before driving it again.
Question: Do you deal directly with my insurance company?
Answer: Yes, as a member of TIGA, we work with most reputable insurance companies. Let us know who you are insured with, and we will tell you if we are on their panel.
Question: Aren’t all windscreen replacement companies the same?
Answer: No! NOVUS Glass technicians undergo a rigorous factory training process and have been certified by NOVUS on the latest repair and replacement techniques.
Question: What is the maximum length of a windscreen crack that can be repaired?
Answer: It depends on several factors and we would have to see the crack to say for sure, but we generally do not recommend repairing any crack longer than 30mm.
Question: What will a windscreen repair look like when it is done? Will it be invisible?
Answer: We can usually restore somewhere between 75% and 95% of the optical clarity to the damaged area. This depends on several factors including the severity, age, and the amount of contamination in the damage. In most cases the completed repair will look like a small water spot or bug splat, however, it will not be completely invisible.
Question: Are your windscreen repairs and replacements guaranteed?
Answer: Absolutely! A NOVUS windscreen repair has a lifetime warranty for as long as you own the vehicle, and both our replacement windscreens and workmanship is guaranteed for a period of 12 months from date of installation.
